Pharmacist-Prescribed Birth Control
A new law has allowed specially-trained pharmacists to prescribe birth control pills and patches for qualified patients.
How It Works
After you fill out a medical history questionnaire, we will record your height, weight, and blood pressure. Patients under 18 years old need parental consent.
If we are authorized to prescribe medication to you based on your questionnaire and blood pressure, we can authorize your prescription for up to a year at a time.
For patients who are new to birth control, we will authorize one month of medication, and schedule a follow-up appointment for the end of that month to monitor your progress. After the follow-up appointment, we can authorize your prescription for a full year.

You can fill up to 3 months of medication at a time, depending on your insurance plan. Uninsured patients can fill up to 12 months at a time.

After you have completed your initial exam and follow-up exam, any changes to your prescription can be done free of charge via phone.
